Firewheel or indian blanket is a popular annual growing 1-2(-3) ft. tall. The hairy stem is usually much-branched and becomes woody at the base late in the season. Branched stems, mostly leafy near the base, have showy flower heads with rays red at base, tipped with yellow, each with 3 teeth at broad end. The well-known flower heads are 1-2 in. across with a red center and a yellow outer band. Occasionally the three-cleft rays are solid orange or yellow. The disk flowers in the center are brownish red.

Orchid dahlia blossom has open center with just one row of ray florets surrounding a disc. The petals are often overlapping and curled for most of their length. Dahlia flowers grow and flower best in a well-drained, sunny site. They like warm weather and will not tolerate frost.The dual colour flower against the green background looks very pretty.

The Arizona Sun Blanket Flower (Gaillardia grandiflora) is a perennial plant member of the Asteraceae family, which includes daisies and sunflowers. It is known for its stunning red and yellow bicolored flowers. The center of each flower is dark red or burgundy, while the outer petals are bright golden yellow. The flowers have a daisy-like appearance with fringed petals and a raised central disc. The Blanket Flower from which the Arizona Sun Blanket Flower cultivar originates, is native to North America, including parts of Northern Arizona. This plant typically grows to a height of about 12 to 18 inches and has a spread of around 12 to 24 inches. It forms clumps of foliage and produces numerous flower stems.
