$This Chubb River and Upper Mill Pond barrier waterfall is located near the intersection of Station Street and Sentinel Road in the center of the village of Lake Placid, New York. The calm, lazy pond surface to the left is rippled and serene. Early evening golden sunlight highlights infinite silky smooth ribbons of speeding water spilling over the edge and slipping down into that long, continuous rush of blurred, streaking splashes.
